Every track you make in Vocal Studio can be downloaded as a WAV or an MP3. Here’s how to choose.
WAV — full quality
WAV is uncompressed. It keeps every bit of detail the separation produced, which makes it the right choice when you’re going to do more with the audio: importing into an editor, layering it in a project, or performing with it. The downside is file size — WAV files are large.
MP3 — small and shareable
MP3 is compressed, so the files are much smaller and easy to send over chat, email or upload. The quality is still very good for listening. Choose MP3 when you just want to play the track, share it, or save space on your phone.
A simple rule
- Editing, recording, performing, archiving → WAV.
- Listening, sharing, sending to a friend → MP3.
If you’re unsure, grab the WAV — you can always make an MP3 from it later, but you can’t add back quality that an MP3 dropped. Vocal Studio’s MP3s are encoded at a high 192 kbps, so they sound clean for everyday use.
